Climate
Slovenia has some of the most diverse weather in the world. It may be smaller than Wales, but it enjoys three distinct climates. In the NW (our venue) we have Alpine climate. In the south we have mediteranean climate and in the east we have Continental climate.
In late May/early June we can expect (historically) good competition conditions. Strong thermals, low rainfall, weak inversions.
Temperatures are likely to be in the low to mid twenties (at night no lower than 10 degrees) and typically 3-4 days rain a month.
Cloudbase will usually be around 6-8,000ft with valley inversions in the morning.
Winds will often blow from the east in the mornings, switching to west in the afternoons.
Camping is common place in this valley.
